NBA Game Summary - New York at Atlanta

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Amare Stoudemire scored 10 of his game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter, as the New York Knicks held off the Atlanta Hawks, 92-79.
Stoudemire also pulled down seven rebounds for the Knicks, who got 14 points, seven boards and seven assists from Carmelo Anthony. Landry Fields donated 15 points.
"It was a great team effort to be honest with you," Stoudemire said. "Guys got hot in the fourth quarter...Tonight, guys really turned it on."
Josh Smith returned to the lineup after missing two games with a sprained right knee and scored 17 points to go with 11 rebounds for the Hawks, who have lost three of four.
Kirk Hinrich tallied 15 points for Atlanta, which got 14 points apiece from Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford.
The Knicks led by as many as nine in the first quarter and held a 24-19 lead after 12 minutes.
Atlanta kept it close in the second stanza and got within two, 44-42, at the half on Crawford's four-point play.
The Hawks then scored the first seven points of the third quarter to take a 49-44 lead. New York, though, responded with an 8-0 run to go back in front. Anthony tallied four points during the stretch, including a jumper with less than five minutes remaining to make it 52-49.
Anthony Carter's trey at the end of the period gave the Knicks a 62-56 edge heading to the fourth.
Atlanta opened the fourth on a 7-2 flurry to cut its deficit to one, 64-63. The Knicks responded in a big way, going on a 19-2 surge to put the game away.
Stoudemire scored six points during the burst, which Roger Mason capped with a three-pointer for an 83-65 margin with 5:16 to play.
The Hawks never got closer than 11 the rest of the way.
"It felt great. We just weren't able to get the win," Smith said. "They're a dangerous team."
The Knicks and Hawks split four games this season...Shawne Williams and Carter tallied 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Knicks, who went 10-of-23 from beyond the arc.
