Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Grant Hill scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Phoenix Suns skirted past the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers, 106-98.

Channing Frye finished with 18 points while Marcin Gortat chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Suns won their fourth straight and improved to 2-0 on a five-game road trip. Steve Nash notched 15 points and 15 assists in the win.

"There were still some times where we just got relaxed," Frye said. "We just try to get better every game and a win is a win. This win was pretty ugly, but a W is a W."

Antawn Jamison posted 23 points and had six boards for the Cavaliers, who continued a season-high 14-game losing streak. Ramon Sessions ended with 19 points and eight assists, while J.J. Hickson and Daniel Gibson both scored 16 points in the losing effort.

"We had the opportunities," Jamison said. "We got some key stops. We just couldn't convert them on the offensive end down the stretch."

The Suns went cold to open the fourth quarter, which allowed Cleveland to claw back into the game.

Hickson's rebound, coast-to-coast finish and foul shot to complete a three- point play capped a 7-0 Cleveland burst to begin the fourth quarter.

Jamison and Jamario Moon's three-pointers surrounded a Hakim Warrick layup to pull the Cavs within 93-90 with 6:25 left to play.

Hill responded with a jumper on the next possession and Nash hit a runner with 3:43 remaining to extend the lead to 97-90.

Phoenix pulled away during the final 2 1/2 minutes, as Vince Carter made a three-point shot and Nash made four free throws and a jumper.

Hill poured in 14 points in the first quarter during which Phoenix used a 16-4 run to move in front, 34-21.

The Cavs scored the final four points of the period, including Moon's layup with time running out, to make it a 36-28 game heading into the second.

The lead grew to as much as 15 for the Suns in the second stanza, when Goran Dragic had a driving dunk with 5:44 left to play in the half. Phoenix held onto a 62-49 advantage at halftime.

The Cavs trimmed their deficit to 70-64 with eight minutes left in the third quarter after Hickson made two free throws. Less than a minute later, a short Nash jumper sparked an 11-point burst that was finished off by Hill's mid-range jumper to increase the lead to 83-66. Phoenix then took a 90-77 edge heading into the final frame.

Game Notes

Cavaliers guard Mo Williams missed the game after injuring his hip five minutes into Saturday's loss at Denver...Cleveland had won four of their last five contests with Phoenix...Hickson also had a game-high 15 rebounds, while Manny Harris contributed 10 points in the loss...Phoenix made 20-of-21 from the free throw line.
