NBA Game Summary - Indiana at Oklahoma City

(Wednesday, March 2nd)

Final Score: Oklahoma City 113, Indiana 89

Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) - Kevin Durant scored 21 points before leaving Oklahoma City's 113-89 rout of the Indiana Pacers with a sprained ankle.

Durant fell hard to the floor following a collision with Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough in the third quarter. The severity of the injury was not immediately known, but the league's leading scorer was in obvious pain as he limped off the court.

Otherwise, Wednesday's game was a showcase of the Thunder's young talent.

Russell Westbrook had 21 points and nine assists, James Harden scored 20 points off the bench, and Serge Ibaka pulled down 12 rebounds to go with seven points for Oklahoma City, which put the brakes on a season-high three-game skid.

Hansbrough led Indiana with 13 points and seven rebounds. Danny Granger was held to nine points on 3-of-11 shooting in the Pacers' third loss in four games.

"We couldn't make shots, we couldn't stop them and we couldn't rebound," summarized Granger.

Following setbacks to the perennially contending Spurs, Magic and Lakers, the Thunder were more than happy welcoming the Pacers to Oklahoma City Arena.

The hosts scored the first 10 points of the game and went up 16-2 on a Westbrook layup.

"We needed a win and we came out tonight like we wanted to," Westbrook said.

The Pacers trailed 27-18 at the end of the opening quarter and pulled within seven, 30-23, on a Granger bank shot early in the second.

Harden answered by scoring seven points during another 10-point spurt, and Oklahoma City built a 63-42 cushion by halftime.

Indiana made just 31.8 percent from the field in the third quarter to end any chance at a comeback.

The Northwest Division front-runners were up, 89-62, going into the fourth, then led by as many as 35 in the final frame despite being without Durant.
