NBA Game Summary - Golden State at Indiana

(Tuesday, March 1st)

Final Score: Indiana 109, Golden State 100

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Danny Granger scored 10 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, as the Pacers topped the Warriors, 109-100, at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Tyler Hansbrough added 14 points and six rebounds in a reserve role, while Roy Hibbert posted 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds as Indiana ended its homestand with a 2-2 mark.

"Great win for our team," Pacers interim coach Frank Vogel said. "That's a win that falls with the identity we want for this team."

Reggie Williams led Golden State with 25 points off the bench, while Stephen Curry went 4-of-8 from three-point range en route to 20 points in the loss.

Curry also dished out a game-high seven assists as the Warriors lost their fourth straight game.

Indiana trailed 46-43 at the half, and after the Warriors widened their lead to five in the opening minutes of the third, the Pacers used an 11-0 run, capped by a Darren Collison jumper at 7:18, to take control.

Golden State was able to keep the game close throughout the quarter but Collison's basket and three-point conversion with 2:44 left expanded the Indiana advantage to 71-64.

Paul George's bank-shot inside the final minute put the game at 78-69, and the Pacers led 80-71 entering the final stanza.

"Our tempo was great and carried us in the fourth quarter," Vogel continued.

The Pacers increased their lead to as many as 12 with a George dunk with 7:57 to play but the Warriors used a 7-0 spurt -- featuring five straight points from Curry -- to make it a one-possession game with 4 1/2 minutes left.

The Pacers held on down the stretch and used six straight free throws in the final half minute to seal the victory.

"I've got two teams right now," Warriors coach Keith Smart said. "A great offensive team and a good defensive team. I have to figure out how to splice that and turn them into one again."

The first half was a tale of two quarter with the Pacers striking first and Golden State capitalizing in the second.

Indiana held the visitors to 31 percent shooting from the field in the first quarter to take a 29-19 advantage after 12 minutes. But the resilient Warriors used a 21-1 run, beginning around the midpoint of the second quarter, to take a 46-37 lead with 1:57 remaining until the half.

Indiana used a 6-0 run to end the quarter to trim its deficit to 46-43 at the break.
