NBA Game Summary - Cleveland at Milwaukee

(Saturday, April 9th)

Final Score: Milwaukee 108, Cleveland 101

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - John Salmons scored 32 points and Drew Gooden recorded the first triple-double of his nine-year career, as the Milwaukee Bucks earned a wire-to-wire victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 108-101.

Gooden ended with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 13 assists for the Bucks, who have alternated wins and losses for the past eight games.

"He was very good tonight," Bucks head coach Scott Skiles said of Gooden. "He rebounded the ball, he passed the ball, he shot the ball, he was active. He's been pretty active in the games he's played, and tonight was a little bit different level."

Baron Davis netted 19 points to pace the Cavs, losers in five of their last seven.

"Once you step out there on the floor, we're going to compete, finish this season the right way, because the end of this season will say a lot about our plans for next year," said Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson.

Salmons scored 13 points in a first quarter that ended with the Bucks holding a 30-18 lead.

The hosts extended the margin to 60-44 by halftime, but the Cavs scored the final six points of the third to pull within 85-78.

A Christian Eyenga three-pointer in the first two minutes of the final stanza cut the deficit to 85-83, but Cleveland never got over the hump.

It was a three-point game, 101-98, prior to Brandon Jennings' three-pointer in the final minute, and the Bucks made enough free throws from there to pull out the win.
