NBA Game Summary - New York at LA Clippers

(Saturday, November 20th)

Final Score: New York 124, LA Clippers 115

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Amare Stoudemire tallied 39 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Danilo Gallinari provided 31 points in New York's 124-115 victory over the one-win Clippers.

Raymond Felton chipped in 20 points, seven assists and seven steals for New York, which forced 20 turnovers en route to its third straight win.

Blake Griffin set a franchise rookie record with 44 points to go with 15 rebounds and seven assists, one of the few highlights for a Los Angeles team that has lost nine straight and fell to 1-13.

"I made sure I stayed aggressive tonight, but the points mean nothing if you don't get the win," Griffin said.

Griffin's slam midway through the fourth got the Clippers within 108-103, but the Knicks scored the next eight points, with Stoudemire's dunk providing the visitors with a 116-103 cushion with 4:11 remaining.

It was at least a seven-point game the rest of the way.

"It was like a video game out there. It was fun," Stoudemire said. "We're showing winning qualities. We have to keep it going."

A close first quarter ended with LA holding a 29-28 edge, but the Knicks were on top 58-53 at halftime and stayed in front throughout the third, which ended with the score, 93-85.

Game Notes

Eric Gordon netted 25 points for the Clippers, who shot 54.4 percent from the floor and outscored the Knicks in the paint, 54-42...Toney Douglas and Wilson Chandler ended with 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the Knicks.
