NBA Game Summary - LA Clippers at San Antonio

(Wednesday, November 10th)

Final Score: San Antonio 107, LA Clippers 95

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Richard Jefferson and Manu Ginobili each scored 22 points to help San Antonio hold off the Los Angeles Clippers, 107-95, at the AT&T Center.

Tony Parker provided 21 points and nine assists for the Spurs, who have won 18 straight games against the Clippers.

"I don't think we played that well. We shot well so that really helped us, but I think we could have played much better," Ginobili said.

Rasual Butler scored 18 points and Craig Smith provided 15 off the bench for Los Angeles, which returns home after losing all four games on its just- completed road trip.

An Eric Bledsoe three-pointer gave LA its first lead of the game at 57-56, but the Spurs later seized control with a 10-0 run that put them ahead 68-59 with 5:16 remaining in the third quarter.

The hosts then closed the period with a 9-1 spurt that resulted in a 79-65 edge heading into the final 12 minutes.

Los Angeles drew to within 95-90 on a Blake Griffin foul shot with 3:23 to play and two foul shots from Smith trimmed the lead to three with 18 seconds later.

However, a short jumper by Bledsoe was wiped off the board from earlier in the quarter when it was deemed the shot was released after the 24-second shot clock expired, which gave the Spurs a five-point cushion.

Parker and Jefferson each hit a pair of free throws and a three-point play from Ginobili extended the lead to 102-90 with 1:47 to play and essentially sewed up the win.

"Our spacing has to be a little bit better," Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said.

Despite making only 7-of-19 from the floor, the Spurs fashioned a 24-20 lead after the first quarter.

Jefferson's jump shot with just under five minutes to go in the second quarter pushed the Spurs lead to 44-33, their biggest of the first half. The Clips drew to within five on a Bledsoe layup with 90 ticks to play before a Tim Duncan jumper made it a 51-44 game at the break.
