NBA Game Summary - New Jersey at Cleveland

(Wednesday, November 10th)

Final Score: New Jersey 95, Cleveland 87

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Devin Harris scored a season-high 31 points and handed out nine assists to lead New Jersey to a 95-87 win over Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena.

Anthony Morrow added 21 points, including knocking down 5-of-8 from three- point territory, and Kris Humphries chipped in with 13 points and 18 rebounds for the Nets, who gained a split of the home-and-home set.

Jordan Farmar supplied 12 points, six rebounds and six assists off the bench for New Jersey, which ended a five-game losing streak and a nine-game skid to Cleveland.

"Fortunately, tonight, our offense was clicking a little bit more," said New Jersey head coach Avery Johnson. "We played at a pace that is real comfortable for our team. We had some really special individual performances, as well."

J.J. Hickson scored 15 points, while Antawn Jamison supplied 14 points and nine boards off the bench for the Cavaliers, who had a three-game win streak halted.

Trailing 81-80 after a Hickson dunk with 4:53 to play, Morrow's jump shot capped an 8-0 spurt that gave the visitors a seven-point cushion with 2:19 to go.

An Anthony Parker jump shot and Jamison layup drew the hosts to within 88-85 with 61 ticks remaining before a Harris layup and two foul shots pushed the lead back to seven with 18 seconds to play.

One more Harris foul shot and two more from Farmar sealed the win.

"They outworked us, especially in the fourth quarter," Cleveland head coach Byron Scott said. "You have to give them credit. They did a much better job of staying with our guys and getting through screens. We have a young team and we're going to learn from this."

The Cavs connected on 10-of-18 shots to take a 25-18 lead after the first quarter during which the Nets hit just 8-of-27 from the floor.

Ramon Sessions and Ryan Hollins each had six points off the bench in the second quarter to help the Cavs take a 52-42 advantage to the intermission. Harris scored 13 of the visitors 24 points in the second quarter.

Cleveland's lead floated between five and 11 for most of the third period before Morrow's trifecta at the buzzer brought the Nets to within 69-67.
