NBA Game Summary - Utah at Orlando

(Wednesday, November 10th)

Final Score: Utah 104, Orlando 94

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Deron Williams spearheaded another stunning comeback for the Jazz, scoring 30 points and handing out 14 assists as Utah escaped Amway Center with an improbable 104-94 victory over the Orlando Magic.

The Jazz drew a tough back-to-back against Eastern Conference powerhouses Miami and Orlando, and they were able to rally and upend the Heat, 116-114, in overtime on Tuesday.

They still had enough legs to overcome an 18-point deficit with under two minutes to go in the third quarter on Wednesday, helped by a 21-point, eight- rebound effort by Al Jefferson and a 23-point night by Paul Millsap, who scored 46 on Tuesday for a Utah club that has won five of six overall.

"Everyone knows that every Jerry Sloan team is going to play with heart. That's something that he's proved since he's been coaching," Jefferson said of his coach. "You never know what can happen."

Vince Carter ended with 20 points and Jameer Nelson had 19 points and seven assists for the Magic, who had won four in a row and were 4-0 at their new arena. Dwight Howard was held to 14 points and nine boards in defeat.

Utah, which rebounded from a 22-point deficit against Miami, saw itself down 74-56 after Rashard Lewis nailed a three-pointer with 1:36 remaining in the third frame.

The visitors answered with a nine-point run to end the stanza -- powered by Williams' five points in the final 37.6 seconds -- and took the lead by holding the Magic to one field goal over the first five minutes of the fourth.

Andrei Kirilenko banked in a three for a 78-76 edge and added a layup off an offensive rebound on the next possession to polish off the game-changing 24-2 flurry spanning the two quarters.

It was a one-possession game in Utah's favor, 94-91, after Howard made 1-of-2 free throws with 1:44 left, and the Jazz pulled away via an 8-0 run.

Jefferson hit a tough turnaround, and Williams nailed a jumper following a Brandon Bass miss. Williams then had two successful trips to the line around missed three-pointers, and the Jazz held on for another sizeable road win.

"They've shown they can come back no matter how many points they're down," Carter said of the Jazz.

Carter beat the first quarter buzzer with a three-pointer for a 23-22 lead for the Magic, who ended the half on a 11-2 run to take a 45-35 halftime advantage on a Lewis three-ball.
