NBA Game Summary - Dallas at Golden State
(Saturday, March 27th)
Final Score: Dallas 111, Golden State 90
Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Rodrigue Beaubois dropped in a career-high 40 points thanks to a 9-for-11 performance from three-point range to lead Dallas to an easy 111-90 drubbing of lowly Golden State.
"Some nights you just keep feeling it," Beaubois said. "I just tried to play my game."
Shawn Marion and Caron Butler scored 18 and 14 points, respectively, while Dirk Nowitzki tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Mavericks, who had dropped four of six coming in.
Dallas improved its Southwest Division-lead to four games over San Antonio and is now tied with Denver for the second seed in the Western Conference.
Corey Maggette finished with a team-high 21 points, and Stephen Curry netted 17 for the Warriors, who continue to sit in the bottom of the Pacific Division.
Beaubois ballooned Dallas' 31-27 first-quarter lead with a trio of threes to open the second. Nowitzki followed with a stepback jumper and capped a 9-0 run a little later with a fadeaway shot for a commanding 51-29 cushion near the midway point of the frame.
Golden State trailed 67-41 at halftime, and Dallas' 91-62 margin heading to the fourth was more than enough to pull out the non-competitive contest.
"We missed a lot of shots early. They hit a lot of shots and it took to air out of us," Curry said. "We just didn't have enough tonight."
