NBA Game Summary - Memphis at Portland

Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Zach Randolph led a balanced Memphis offense with 21 points and nine rebounds, as the Grizzlies raced out to a big lead and held on for a 106-96 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Marc Gasol finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds, as Memphis snapped an eight-game losing streak against Portland. The Grizzlies had a lead as large as 29 in taking their fifth victory in their last seven games overall.
O.J. Mayo added 19 points and six assists in the victory, while Jamaal Tinsley had 16 off the bench.
"He did a great job of quarterbacking the team," Mayo said of Tinsley. "He did such a good job of putting everyone the right place, especially when Hasheem (Thabeet) was in the game; making sure that we didn't miss Thabeet. He (Tinsley) did an unbelievable job tonight."
Brandon Roy had 26 points, nine assists and eight rebounds for Portland, which had won its last three games. Martell Webster scored 24, while Greg Oden ended with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the setback.
"We shot the ball terrible in the first half," Roy said. "We tried to get back in that game with our offense. While we were doing that, they were getting easy points."
Memphis closed the first quarter on an 18-0 run to open up a 14-point lead. Randolph had six points, while Mike Conley began and ended the stretch with baskets as the Grizzlies took a 29-15 edge into the second.
They continued to pull away in the new period, as a Mayo jumper and Thabeet free throw made it a 17-point contest.
After Andre Miller sank a layup, Memphis rattled off 10 more points, including five from Tinsley. DeMarre Carroll ended the run with a jumper to make it a 42-17 contest with 7 1/2 minutes left in the half.
A few minutes later, Randolph capped a six-point burst with a layup to increase the Memphis lead to 59-30, though the Blazers ended the half with seven straight points to get within 61-39 at the break.
Portland continued to chip away at the Grizzlies' lead in the third, ending that quarter with six points to make it a 77-63 game going to the fourth.
Memphis briefly halted the Blazers' momentum as Thabeet added consecutive baskets to begin the final frame. But Portland continued to close the gap, scoring nine of the next 11 points, and two Miller foul shots trimmed the Blazers' deficit to 83-72.
The teams traded points, and a three-pointer by LaMarcus Aldridge got Portland within 94-86 with just over four minutes to play. But Mayo sank a jumper, and Memphis continued to make shots down the stretch to secure the win.
Rudy Gay scored 14 for Memphis...Aldridge finished with 16 points, while Miller had 13...Memphis shot 53.8 percent from the floor...Portland made 40.7 percent of its shots, including 10-of-24 from three-point range...Thabeet, Webster and Oden each blocked three shots...Memphis' last win against Portland came on March 29, 2007.
