NBA Game Summary - New York at Washington

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Mike Miller poured in a season-high 25 points while pulling down nine rebounds and dishing out eight assists, as the Washington Wizards handled the New York Knicks, 106-96, at the Verizon Center.
Antawn Jamison added 21 points and grabbed a career-best 23 rebounds for the Wizards, who have won two in a row following a four-game skid. Randy Foye ended with 14 points and five assists. Caron Butler, Andray Blatche, and Nick Young each tallied 10 points for Washington, which made 11-of-21 shots from beyond the arc.
David Lee finished with 24 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Knicks, who have lost two straight and four of five overall. Jared Jeffries tallied 17 points. Nate Robinson had 16 points off the bench, while Wilson Chandler added 13 points and six boards in defeat.
With the score tied at 52-52 early in the third, the Wizards put together a 19-5 run to take control. Jamison scored the first seven points of the burst, which Foye capped with a long jumper to make it 71-57 with less than five minutes to go. The score was 82-69 after three periods.
New York never got closer than six the rest of the way.
"They stayed in their zone, made a few adjustments out of their zone," Wizards head coach Flip Saunders said. "Guys started looking for Mike (Miller)."
Ahead 23-17 late in the first quarter, the Wizards closed the period out on a 13-2 run. Blatche tallied six points during the burst that Jamison capped with a tip-in for a 36-19 lead after 12 minutes.
The Knicks went on an 18-4 spurt in the second to get within four. Jordan Hill had seven points during the stretch, which Danilo Gallinari ended with a trey to make it a 43-39 game with over four minutes remaining until half.
Washington held a 50-44 margin at the break.
"We didn't hit any shots and defensively they didn't miss too much," Lee said.
This was the first meeting between these two teams this season. New York took three of four games from the Wizards last season...The Knicks made 6-of-21 three-pointers...Washington outrebounded New York, 59-40...Gallinari had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Knicks, who went 14-of-22 from the foul line.
