NBA Game Summary - Atlanta at Orlando

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Dwight Howard made 10-of-16 shots from the field on his way to 31 points while pulling down 19 rebounds, as the Orlando Magic used a strong second half to defeat the Atlanta Hawks, 104-86, in a Southeast Division clash at Amway Arena.
Rashard Lewis added 17 points for the Magic, who have won two in a row and five of six overall. Ryan Anderson donated 16 points and five rebounds off the bench while Jameer Nelson chipped in 14 points and five assists for Orlando, which outscored Atlanta, 55-42, in the second half.
"I thought other than the first few minutes of the game, obviously, we were pretty good and I thought the second half was probably our most consistent half in a long time," Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy said. "It wasn't like an explosion and a big run all at once, I thought we just played solid defense and made solid plays."
Joe Johnson ended with 19 points, seven assists, and six rebounds for the Hawks, who had won four of five coming into Saturday. Jamal Crawford finished with 19 points off the bench. Josh Smith and Mike Bibby added 16 and 10 points, respectively, in defeat.
Ahead 57-54 with less than 7 1/2 minutes left in the third, Orlando went on a 17-2 burst to take control. Howard tallied eight points during the run, which Matt Barnes capped off with a layup for a 74-56 margin with two minutes remaining. The score was 77-63 heading to the fourth.
Atlanta never got closer than nine in the final period.
The Hawks started the game on a 16-6 run, but Orlando responded with an ensuing 15-2 spurt to take a 21-18 edge after 12 minutes.
The Magic led for a majority of the second quarter and took a 49-44 lead into the locker room.
"We just wanted to come out and try to be aggressive but we really didn't shoot any free throws tonight," Johnson said. "We did not put any pressure on their defense and pretty much let them do whatever they wanted tonight. We didn't have it tonight."
The Magic lead the season series with Atlanta, 3-0. Orlando has taken six straight overall vs. the Hawks...The Magic shot 54.2 percent from the field, while Atlanta made 39.5 percent of its shots...Orlando's J.J. Redick had eight points and a career-best seven assists.
