NBA Game Summary - Chicago at Denver

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Carmelo Anthony just missed a triple-double, finishing with 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, as Denver used a big fourth quarter to upend Chicago, 112-93.
J.R. Smith scored 12 of his 19 points in the final stanza, which Denver won, 37-22. Chauncey Billups chipped in 21 points, and Nene had 10 points and nine boards for the Nuggets, who rebounded from a loss to the Clippers on Friday.
"It was a tough win for us...coming off a tough, tough loss," Billups said. "We were having some carryover from the tough loss, then we were able to take control of the game and really rout that team."
Derrick Rose posted 28 points for the Bulls, who received a 22-point effort from Luol Deng. Joakim Noah logged 10 points and eight rebounds in the loss, the club's second straight.
"I thought that we had this game. We had a big lead early," Rose said. "They're a good team, and some of their key players stepped up and made big shots for them."
Smith drilled a three-pointer late in the third quarter to give Denver a 75-71 cushion heading to the fourth. Smith hit two more trifectas in the early going of the fourth, with the latter increasing the cushion to 89-77 with a little over eight minutes left.
Anthony later hit consecutive buckets and assisted on two dunks to Smith and Chris Andersen during a 10-2 run.
Andersen's slam made it 99-81 near the five-minute mark, and nine straight Denver points a little later essentially sealed the outcome.
An early 10-0 run by Chicago paced the club to a 27-14 lead after the first quarter. Denver hit just four field goals in the opening frame but got back into the game with a 13-3 run -- aided by seven points from Billups -- late in the second stanza.
Anthony ended the rally with 16-footer to cut the deficit to 48-45. The hosts still were behind, 52-49, at halftime, but back-to-back Anthony buckets early in the third gave the Nuggets a one-point lead, 55-54.
Denver is a perfect 5-0 as the host this season and has won 10 of its past 11 home games against Chicago....Kenyon Martin grabbed 11 rebounds to go with eight points for Denver...Taj Gibson ended with 12 rebounds and nine points for the Bulls.
