NBA Game Summary - Boston at Cleveland

(Sunday, March 14th)

Final Score: Cleveland 104, Boston 93

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - LeBron James ended with 30 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead Cleveland to a convincing 104-93 victory over Boston at Quicken Loans Arena.

Antawn Jamison returned from a one-game absence (knee) to donate 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who never trailed in the second half en route to their ninth win in 10 games.

Anderson Varejao added 17 and 10 for the Cavs, who received 14 points and six assists from Mo Williams in the victory.

"I thought that we played the right way. Usually when you play a team like Boston, the most aggressive team is going to win, (not just) offensively, but defensively too," Cavs head coach Mike Brown said. "I thought that we were aggressive on both ends of the floor throughout most of the game."

Ray Allen led the Celtics with 20 points, while Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett each netted 18 for the Celtics, who have lost three of four following a four- game winning streak. Rajon Rondo had 16 points, eight boards and six helpers in the setback.

Two James free throws ended the third quarter for an 80-72 advantage for Cleveland, which held the Celtics scoreless for the first five minutes of the final quarter.

The Cavs extended their lead to double digits during Boston's poor shooting stretch, as James' layup in traffic ended a 13-0 spurt spanning the final two stanzas, resulting in a healthy 89-72 lead with 7:16 remaining.

It was a double-digit game the rest of the way.

Cleveland scored the final eight points of the first quarter to take a 24-18 lead. A back-and-forth second frame ended with the Cavs still up six, 54-48.

"We couldn't get over the hump," Garnett said. "We fell back, we felt like we were right there, but we couldn't turn that corner."
