NBA Game Summary - Charlotte at Atlanta

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Jamal Crawford poured in 24 points and dished out five assists, as the Atlanta Hawks used a strong third quarter to defeat the Charlotte Bobcats, 103-89, in a Southeast Division clash at Philips Arena.
Al Horford added 23 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for the Hawks, who finished a five-game homestand with a 4-1 mark. Joe Johnson donated 19 points and seven assists. Josh Smith and Marvin Williams each tallied 14 points for the Hawks, who outscored Charlotte, 36-22, in the third quarter.
"They are a pretty good team. They are playing extremely well this month and pretty much the whole season," Smith said. "We wanted to come out early and establish ourselves on the defensive end. We were able to get some stops and have a little bit of fun."
Gerald Wallace ended with 25 points and six rebounds for the Bobcats, who were coming off a perfect six-game homestand. Stephen Jackson donated 24 points and six rebounds. Flip Murray added 11 points and nine assists off the bench for Charlotte, which dropped to 3-16 on the road this season.
Bobcats guard Raymond Felton suffered a sprained right ankle late in the first quarter, as he stepped on Crawford's foot and twisted his ankle while trying to get past the Atlanta player. X-rays were negative and Felton was on the bench for the second half.
Following a Nazr Mohammed free throw to start the third, the Hawks went on a 23-6 run to take control. Williams tallied six points during the stretch, which Johnson capped off with a jumper for a 70-50 lead with under five minutes to go. The score was 83-65 after three periods, and the Bobcats never got closer than nine points in the fourth.
Trailing 11-10 near the midway point of the first quarter, the Hawks went on a 19-2 spurt. Horford's short jumper had Atlanta in front 29-13 with less than 1 1/2 minutes remaining, and the score was 31-17 after 12 minutes.
Charlotte used a 14-2 burst near the end of the second to get within four. Wallace had eight points during the run that Jackson ended with a long jumper to make it 45-41. The Hawks held a 47-43 margin at the half.
"I didn't think we played together as well as we have been. They executed great," Bobcats head coach Larry Brown said.
Charlotte beat Atlanta, 103-83, at home on November 6. It has lost five straight and six of its last seven trips to Philips Arena...The Bobcats were trying to win seven straight for the first time in franchise history.
