NBA Game Summary - Milwaukee at Miami

(Saturday, February 27th)

Final Score: Milwaukee 94, Miami 71

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - John Salmons recorded 18 points and Jerry Stackhouse hit four three-pointers on the way to adding 16, as the Milwaukee Bucks took it to the Heat in a 94-71 road win.

Carlos Delfino chipped in 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Bucks, who ran their season-long wining streak to six games. Andrew Bogut checked in with 10 rebounds and eight points.

Milwaukee last won six consecutive games from December 16-27, 2006 and picked up a sixth straight road win Saturday.

"Our defense was very good. We did a nice job on the glass. We shared the ball like we normally do," said Bucks coach Scott Skiles. "(Salmons and Stackhouse) have blended in with the unselfish play."

Jermaine O'Neal was at the head of a weak effort by Miami with 14 points. Michael Beasley and Dorell Wright each scored 10 in the Heat's third straight loss since a five-game win streak.

Each of those losses have come without star guard Dwyane Wade, whose left calf strain kept him out of a fourth consecutive game Saturday.

Milwaukee opened with a 26-18 first quarter before Miami used its most substantial stretch of the game to grab a 40-39 lead with 3:38 left in the second. The 10-3 run started with a jumper and layup from Beasley before Wright's dunk tied it at 36.

Brandon Jennings drilled a three to break up the scoring, but Rafer Alston came back with a jumper and O'Neal's runner capped the surge.

A pair of Salmons free throws and a bucket by Stackhouse before halftime allowed for a 50-45 Bucks lead at intermission.

Miami shot a woeful 27.3 percent from the floor in the third quarter and a 16-4 closing run by Milwaukee had the visitors out to a 75-57 advantage.

"We couldn't get it going on the offensive side and we carried it over to the defensive side. We had no energy and just weren't on the same page today," said Beasley.

The Heat had just 12 points in the third, and only got two more than that in the fourth as they simply fell apart down the stretch.

Stackhouse and Delfino opened the fourth with back-to-back three-pointers and a Kurt Thomas bucket a little more than 2 1/2 minutes in made it a 26-point game from which the Heat could not recover.
