Mayo was 10-of-16 from the field overall for Memphis, which has won three of five and is 5-3 at home this season. Zach Randolph added 24 points and 15 rebounds, while Rudy Gay had 18 points for the Grizzlies, who have beaten the Mavs three straight times after losing the previous 13 matchups.
"We are playing more together. I think we're starting to gel a little bit," Randolph said. "As the season goes on, we'll continue to get better."

"Just a bad game for us. We didn't do the job defensively," said Mavs center Erick Dampier. "It was kind of hard to stay in the game when you're not making shots, either. Even when our shots aren't going, our defense has to be there every night."

Dallas held a six-point lead after Drew Gooden deposited two straight baskets to open the second, but the Grizzlies scored the next 17 points to storm in front.
DeMarre Carroll had all six of his points on the burst, while Sam Young had all five of his, and the former's jumper with 7:22 until halftime had Memphis ahead, 45-34. The Mavs were then able to cut their deficit to seven, 58-51, at halftime.
The Grizzlies were able to extend their lead in the third behind a 14-6 burst. Gay had seven points, and his two consecutive baskets to finish the spurt gave the hosts a 74-59 advantage.
Memphis held a 78-67 lead going into the fourth quarter.
The Grizzlies then played some stifling defense in the early part of the final period, holding the Mavs without a point for the first 4:43 while expanding their lead to 16.
Gay's three-pointer with just under seven minutes left expanded the advantage to 86-69, and the Grizzlies would lead by double-digits for the remainder of the game.
