NBA Game Summary - Chicago at Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Derrick Rose and Ben Gordon scored 26 points apiece as the Chicago Bulls upended the Phoenix Suns, 122-111, at US Airways Center.
Luol Deng added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulls, who have won a season-high three straight on the heels of a season-worst five-game slide. Kirk Hinrich chipped in 15 points and Tyrus Thomas 10 in the win.
Leandro Barbosa notched a season-high 32 points off the bench for the Suns, who have lost two in a row and five of seven overall. Grant Hill gave 19 points and Shaquille O'Neal 18 in defeat. Steve Nash ended with 15 points and 10 assists.
Trailing by nine points late in the game, Barbosa drained a three-pointer and then added a layup to cut it to 105-101 with 4:48 left in the tilt.
Gordon answered with a three and Deng connected on a three-point play to up the visitor's lead to 111-101 about 1 1/2 minutes later, and Chicago held on from there.
"We need to find a way to make each other better and fit together better," said Nash. "The first step to anything is being positive."
The Bulls charged out to a 30-25 lead after the first quarter, but the Suns managed to cut it to 62-59 at the break.
Hinrich's free throw opened a 78-65 Chicago lead with 7:42 left in the third quarter.
However, a pair of Jason Richardson free throws closed out an 8-0 Phoenix run just over three minutes later to make it a five-point game, 80-75.
Chicago maintained its five-point cushion, 88-83, heading into the fourth quarter.
Aaron Gray's two free throws and Rose's jumper opened a 99-89 Bulls lead with 8:11 showing on the clock.
"We know we can only win games if we play together," said Rose. "So we're just pushing the ball upcourt and running our sets."
The Bulls swept the season series from the Suns for the first time since 1996-1997. The loss gave Phoenix its first losing month (7-8) since April of 2004...Rose missed his career-high by one point. Gordon was 5-for-7 from three-point range...The Suns continued a three-game homestand and are now 0-2. Phoenix will finish its homestand by hosting Sacramento on February 2...The Suns fell to 12-10 as the host on the year...The Bulls, meanwhile, improved to 3-1 on a season-long, seven-game road trip. Chicago is now 8-17 on the road and will finish its trek with visits to Houston, New Orleans and Dallas...The Bulls had lost nine of their last 10 games in the Valley of the Sun.
