Final Score: San Antonio 99, Indiana 81
San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tim Duncan scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Spurs in a 99-81 pounding of Indiana.
Manu Ginobili added 26 points on 8-of-10 shooting and had eight rebounds for San Antonio, which has won three in a row and 13 of its last 16 contests. Tony Parker registered 13 points and seven assists for the Southwest Division- leading Spurs.
"It was a fine effort for four or five games in seven nights," said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. "They showed great energy and did a great job defensively. I was pleased with the overall effort, especially on a team that scores the third most points in the league. I was concerned if we could stop that."
Danny Granger posted 17 points for the Pacers, who have lost seven straight times at San Antonio. Mike Dunleavy added 15 points and T.J. Ford scored 10, but Indiana shot just 37 percent from the field and dropped its fifth straight road contest.
"They had a lot of back tap rebounds to other players tonight and were constantly all over the glass with a lot of hustle," said Granger.
Two buckets from Ginobili in the final minute of the opening quarter moved the Spurs to a 22-17 lead. He accounted for nine of San Antonio's first 11 points of the second, as the hosts increased the cushion to 33-21.
A three-pointer from Michael Finley just before the half moved the Spurs to a 53-40 lead and they continually widened the difference to 81-57 going to the fourth.
With the game well in hand, Duncan sat out for the final quarter and Ginobili was removed after the first minute.
The Spurs have won seven of the last nine meetings...San Antonio held a 57-36 rebounding advantage...Troy Murphy had 10 rebounds for the Pacers.
