NBA Game Summary - Orlando at San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Dwight Howard continued to crank out double-doubles with 24 points and 14 rebounds and the Orlando Magic won a matchup of division leaders, 105-98, over the San Antonio Spurs.
Jameer Nelson contributed 22 points and five assists, hitting a trio of three- point shots and Hedo Turkoglu provided 21 points, five rebounds and as many assists in the win, Orlando's fourth in a row.
Rashard Lewis chipped in 15 points and J.J. Redick 12 on four three-pointers as the Southeast Division-leading Magic notched their 13th win in the last 15 games overall.
Orlando kicked off a four-game road trip Sunday with visits scheduled against the Kings, Lakers and Nuggets still to come.
Tony Parker scored a game-high 31 points but failed to convert a pair of uncontested layups in the waning moments of the fourth as San Antonio saw its four-game win streak halted. Tim Duncan posted 18 points and 10 rebounds while Manu Ginobili also scored 18 in the loss.
The Southwest Division-leading Spurs fell to 1-1 on their three-game homestand, which closes out Wednesday against the Lakers.
After San Antonio regained the lead early in the fourth, the Magic went on an 11-2 run capped by a three-point play from Howard that gave his team an 85-79 lead. The Spurs, though, scored seven straight points, and Roger Mason's three-pointer gave the home team a one-point edge with 6 1/2 minutes to go.
The teams traded baskets down the stretch and Redick's fourth three-pointer of the game put Orlando in front, 97-94, with 2:34 to play. Nelson drilled a three moments later, and after a San Antonio miss, Nelson sank a jumper for a 102-96 advantage.
A Matt Bonner jumper made it a four-point game, but Parker botched a pair of layups on San Antonio's next two trips up the floor and Orlando went to the line to seal the win.
Orlando held a 34-28 lead after 12 minutes thanks to a 9-2 run that closed the opening frame. Back-to-back threes from Redick and Turkoglu and a slam from Howard early in the second provided an eight-point edge, but San Antonio scored 10 of the next 13 points to pull within one with 4:27 left in the half. Parker scored the next six Spurs points, but Nelson's three-ball closed the frame for a 55-50 Orlando halftime lead.
Parker's run of seven straight points early in the third gave the Spurs their first lead since the first quarter at 59-57, and a jumper later in the frame provided for a three-point edge. The Magic, though, forged ahead with a slam from Howard and a three from Redick before Turkoglu's trip to the line for two allowed for a 74-72 lead after three quarters.
Orlando defeated San Antonio, 90-78, at home on December 18 this season to snap a three-game losing streak in the series. The Spurs have won 11 of the last 16 against the Magic overall...Orlando won in San Antonio for just the third time in the last 17 trips...The Magic are now 14-5 as the visitor this season....The Spurs are 14-7 at home this season.
