Calderon made a three-pointer with two minutes left in OT to make it a six- point game and, after Hamilton missed a jumper at the other side of the court, Bosh made two free throws for a 97-93 deficit with 1:27 left.

After a miss at the Detroit end, Shawn Marion connected on one-of-two with 52.2 seconds left in the game to make it a 97-94 contest.

Bosh was then awarded two more free throws with 15.3 seconds left and he hit the first, but missed the second. However, Pops Mensah Bonsu came down with the offensive board and went for the shot, but Jason Maxiell blocked the shot and Hamilton sent a long pass to a wide open Maxiell, who slammed it home for a 99-95 lead with just 6.8 seconds left.

A desperation three-ball from Jason Kapono fell short and Detroit survived for the win.

Trailing by five points to start the second half, Detroit used a strong third quarter to take the lead.

With the team trailing by three points early, Detroit surged ahead with an 8-0 spurt and Stuckey's jumper with 5:52 left in the third gave his team a 54-51 lead.

Another 8-0 surge later in the third extended the Pistons' lead, and the team took a 68-57 advantage into the final 12 minutes.

Six straight points early in the fourth from Toronto got the team to within three points, 70-67, on a Roko Ukic layup with 9:22 to play.

However, the Raptors were unable to get closer than three points and five straight points from Detroit, including back-to-back jumpers from McDyess, made it a 77-69 game with 6:52 left.

Detroit had a seven-point lead with three minutes to play, but Toronto scored the next six points with a slam and two free throws from Bosh and a basket by Marion to make it a one-point game, 85-84, with one minute left.

Arron Afflalo then buried a three-pointer with 39 ticks left on the clock, but, off the timeout, Marion drove the basket and put in a layup with 34.7 left.

After McDyess was called for offensive goaltending with 13.2 to play, Calderon tied the contest with a layup with just nine ticks left on the clock.

Hamilton's jumper from the right side with time winding down hit off the rim and the game went to overtime.

An 8-2 run early in the first quarter helped the Pistons carry a 24-21 lead into the second stanza. Toronto, though, surged ahead in the second quarter and thanks in part to a 7-0 run were able to take a 45-40 lead into halftime.
