NBA Game Summary - Charlotte at San Antonio

(Tuesday, March 10th)

Final Score: San Antonio 100, Charlotte 86

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tony Parker and Roger Mason had 21 points apiece, and the San Antonio Spurs logged a 100-86 win against the Bobcats, ending Charlotte's franchise-record win streak at six games.

Tim Duncan posted 18 points and 11 rebounds while Michael Finley chipped in 10 points for the Spurs, who lead the Southwest Division by two games over Houston.

San Antonio is 3-0 so far on a four-game homestand and recorded its fourth win in five tries, with the Lakers scheduled for a visit on Thursday.

Emeka Okafor and Raja Bell each scored 16 points for the Bobcats, who steadily inched toward the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with their recent winning ways.

Raymond Felton notched 15 points and Gerald Wallace 14 for Charlotte, which had also won four in a row on the road.

Both teams had the hot hand early in the fourth and a tie game after three quarters remained that way as Bell hoisted a three-ball to counter three straight triples from the Spurs.

San Antonio, though, responded with a 13-2 surge, sparked by a George Hill deuce and capped by a Mason three-pointer that gave the hosts a 93-82 lead with less than four minutes to go.

The Bobcats got just two field goals from there, and another Mason triple with 1:10 on the clock sealed it by giving the Spurs their final margin.

Charlotte went up 29-23 after 12 minutes, but Mason scored the first nine points of the second frame before two free throws by Bell tied the game at 46- all entering the break.

The teams played even over the third quarter, with a Felton jumper tying the game at 71 apiece heading to the fourth.
