Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Caron Butler filled the statsheet with 27 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to help the Wizards send the Timberwolves to their 10th straight loss, a 110-99 defeat at the Target Center.

Antawn Jamison added 26 points for the Wizards, who stopped a five-game slide and won for the first time since a 113-90 win vs. Chicago on February 27. Darius Songaila totaled a season-high 19 points in the win.

Sebastian Telfair and Ryan Gomes ended with 18 points apiece for Minnesota, which saw guard Randy Foye leave late in the fourth quarter with a sprained right ankle. Foye amassed 15 points and six helpers before leaving.

Kevin Love chipped in 16 points and 11 boards for the T'Wolves, who lost their 11th consecutive home game. Mike Miller gave 16 and nine in defeat.

The Wizards edged the T'Wolves for a 27-24 lead after the first quarter and opened up a 49-44 advantage at the break.

Two free throws from Gomes tied the game at 65 with a bit over four minutes left in the third, but Washington responded with an 8-0 run. Jamison scored the final four points of the surge to give the Wizards a 73-65 advantage with 2:15 left.

Minnesota trailed 79-73 heading into the final frame.

Foye's bank shot made it a four-point game early in the fourth, but the Wizards answered with a 13-0 run to take command of the game.

Butler had eight points on the surge, including the jumper that closed it out to give the visitors a 94-77 lead with 7:21 left in the game.

Minnesota followed with an 8-0 run to cut it to 94-85, but it was too little too late as the T'Wolves failed to get within nine the rest of the way.
