Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Richard Hamilton poured in 22 points to lead the Detroit Pistons in a 108-91 rout of the Golden State Warriors at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Tayshaun Prince and Jason Maxiell scored 16 points apiece for Detroit, which has won four straight games following its longest losing streak in 14 years (eight games).
"That's what [Maxiell] does," said Hamilton. "When he gets an opportunity to play he goes out there and plays well. Tonight he really showed it."
Rodney Stuckey had 14 points and eight assists while Will Bynum recorded 13 points in the win.
Jamal Crawford donated 25 points and eight helpers for the Warriors, who lost their second straight and sixth in eight tries. Marco Belinelli and Anthony Morrow ended with 13 points each.
The Pistons closed the first quarter on a 20-4 run en route to a 33-16 lead after the first 12 minutes. Stuckey sparked the surge with a pair of free throws, Prince followed with a layup before Hamilton added a three-pointer.
Detroit kept at it in the second and stretched the surge to 26-4, giving the home team a 39-16 lead on Stuckey's fadeaway bucket with nine minutes left in the frame.
The Pistons built up a 63-40 advantage at the break.
Golden State's deficit hovered around 20 during the third period and the Warriors fell behind 85-66 heading into the fourth. The Pistons' lead never dipped below 15 points over the final 12 minutes.
"It was tough," said Crawford. "We had a couple of chances late to get to 15 and go from there. The young guys fought, it was a great experience for them."
Detroit's 33 first-quarter points were a season high...Maxiell also grabbed nine rebounds and Prince doled out four assists...Golden State's Anthony Randolph scored 17 points and Jermareo Davidson chipped in 11 points and 10 boards...The Pistons' Allen Iverson sat out a fourth straight game with an ailing back...The Warriors dropped to a woeful 6-26 on the road...Detroit is 16-15 as the host this season, but has lost 10 of its last 14 on its home court...The Pistons have won four straight matchups with Golden State, including a 107-102 verdict in Oakland on November 13.
