NBA Game Summary - Utah at Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Mehmet Okur led all scorers with 25 points and six other Jazz players finished in double-figures as Utah handled the Minnesota Timberwolves, 120-103, at the Target Center.
Ronnie Brewer had 20 points, C.J. Miles went for 15 points, and Deron Williams had 13 points and 13 assists for Utah, which has won six straight, including a 108-89 victory over Atlanta on Monday, that completed the Jazz's sweep of a five-game homestand.
Carlos Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko chipped in with 12 points apiece, while Kyle Korver had 13 for the Jazz.
Kevin Love and Ryan Gomes each had 24 points to pace the Timberwolves, who have dropped four in a row and nine of 10 overall. Love also controlled the glass with 15 rebounds and Gomes had eight boards.
"Utah is a real tough team and can't let them score 69 points in the second half," Love said. "We have to step it up on defense and keep learning how to win with this team."
Mike Miller had a solid game with 21 points and eight rebounds in defeat.
With the game tied at 87 in the early stages of the fourth quarter, Brewer's three-point play started the Jazz on a 10-2 run, pushing the visitors to a 97-89 lead with just under eight minutes to left. Brewer accounted for eight points during the stretch.
Miller's jumper got Minnesota back to within four, 99-95, with 5:59 remaining, but a pair of free throws from Brewer and Okur, and a Williams layup quickly put the Jazz up 105-97 with 4:01 left. The Timberwolves were unable to get any closer the rest of the way.
"Seems like everytime we play this team it's a struggle and they played hard," Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan said. "Fortunately we made some baskets down the stretch. Give them credit, they played hard. They beat us inside, which doesn't happen a lot with our team. They outworked us."
Minnesota held a 26-23 lead after the opening quarter and things remained tight in the early stages of the second.
Kirilenko then started an 11-4 Jazz run with a jumper and added four free throws during the burst, helping Utah gain a 39-32 edge near the midway point of the second period.
Love scored 11 of the Timberwolves' 19 points in the closing minutes of the half and the hosts were in front 55-51 heading into the intermission.
The Jazz turned things around in the third and grabbed an 83-81 lead going to the fourth.
Utah will host Sacramento on Saturday, while Minnesota welcomes Portland to the Target Center on Friday...Utah has taken four straight meetings with the T-Wolves, including three this season...The Jazz improved to 10-17 on the road this year. Minnesota fell to a dreadful 8-20 as the hosts.
