NBA Game Summary - Utah at Chicago

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Ben Gordon scored 26 points, and the Chicago Bulls fought their way to a 106-98 victory over the Utah Jazz at the United Center.
Derrick Rose had 24 points for the Bulls, who have alternated wins and losses for the past seven games. Andres Nocioni posted 15 points and eight rebounds, while Thabo Sefolosha and Larry Hughes each contributed 10 points in the victory.
Mehmet Okur had 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Jazz, who dropped to 2-2 on their five-game road trip that finishes with Milwaukee on Tuesday. Paul Millsap tallied 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Deron Williams had 19 points and six assists in the loss. Andrei Kirilenko had 11 points for Utah.
Down 79-78 heading into the fourth, the Bulls went up 95-92 with 4 1/2 minutes left on Rose's driving layup. Gordon extended the lead to six on the next possession with a transition three-pointer.
Okur put together a three-point play for Utah, but Hughes and Gordon combined to make five free throws to give Chicago a 103-95 lead with 1:30 left.
Okur hit a couple free throws nine seconds later, and Kirilenko made 1-of-2 with 59.0 seconds left to make it 103-98. But Rose answered with a driving layup with 39.4 seconds to go to seal the victory for Chicago.
Utah scored the first six points and jumped out to an early 19-8 lead. The Bulls responded, however, and trailed only 29-27 heading into the second.
Chicago took its first lead on Joakim Noah's tip shot early in the second for a 31-29 lead. But neither team could go on an extended offensive burst, and Kyle Korver's jumper with 1:12 left gave the Jazz a slim 52-51 edge at halftime.
Both teams played to a 27-27 tie in the third quarter, as Utah maintained it's one-point edge heading into the fourth.
Chicago has won the last three meetings with the Jazz...Bulls forwards Drew Gooden (ankle) and Tyrus Thomas (concussion) did not play after being questionable prior to the game...Chicago shot 46.1 percent (41-of-89) from the field, while Utah shot 48.1 percent (38-of-79)...The Bulls went 7-of-16 from long distance, while the Jazz shot only 2-of-11.
