NBA Game Summary - LA Lakers at Orlando

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Jameer Nelson scored 27 points and doled out five assists, and the Orlando Magic overcame a season-high 41 points from Kobe Bryant to beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 106-103.
Rashard Lewis added 22 points for the Magic, who have won four straight and eight of their last nine games. Dwight Howard logged 18 points and 12 boards, while Hedo Turkoglu tallied 14 points and seven assists. Turkoglu also had a pair of steals to put him at 501 for his career.
Bryant also grabbed eight rebounds for the Lakers, who have dropped back-to- back games for the first time all season. They were 89-87 losers in Miami on Friday as Bryant's last-second shot rattled off the rim as time expired. Derek Fisher ended with 27 points and Pau Gasol scored 11 in defeat.
Turkoglu's lay-in gave the Magic a three-point lead, but Fisher answered with a three to tie it at 101 with just under 1 1/2 minutes left.
Howard then hit a pair of free throws with 1:04 showing on the clock for a 103-101 cushion.
Fisher's three-pointer caromed off the rim down the other end and Lewis drew the loose-ball foul. He hit 1-of-2 with 45.7 ticks left for a three-point Orlando lead.
With 36.7 seconds left, Bryant hit a pair of free throws to make it a one- point affair.
On Orlando's next possession, Nelson was called for an offensive foul on Fisher and LA got the ball with 22.4 ticks showing.
The Lakers brought the ball upcourt before Bryant drove the lane and kicked the ball out to Sasha Vujacic on the left wing. His three-point bid rattled in and out of the rim and Howard grabbed the board and was fouled with 3.5 seconds left.
Howard made both shots to make it 106-103.
LA's last shot saw Bryant take a long-range three that bricked off the back of the rim as time expired.
Bryant had 13 points in the opening frame to give the Lakers a slight 24-23 lead heading into the second period.
LA was sitting on a 58-49 lead at the half thanks to 25 points from Bryant over the opening two quarters.
Consecutive threes from Lewis and Nelson brought the Magic within 58-55, 1 1/2 minutes into the third quarter. The teams traded baskets and a Nelson three-pointer tied it at 78 with 2:46 left in the third quarter. A Lewis jumper gave Orlando an 85-84 advantage heading into the final stanza.
"I let the game come to me, and it's been coming to me in the second half and in the third quarter," said Nelson.
Moments later, jumpers from Howard and Nelson made it 91-86 in favor of the home team. A three each from Vladimir Radmanovic and Fisher tied the game at 92 just prior to the midway point.
"It is all about defense," said Bryant. "Jameer really shot the ball extremely well. Once he got that rhythm you couldn't stop him."
