NBA Game Summary - Golden State at Denver

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Carmelo Anthony logged 27 points, nine rebounds and six assists, as the Denver Nuggets easily beat the Golden State Warriors in a 123-105 decision at the Pepsi Center.
Chauncey Billups posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists, while J.R. Smith and Kenyon Martin each deposited 15 points in Denver's third straight win.
Jamal Crawford scored 25 points and added five steals for the Warriors, who have dropped two in a row on the heels of back-to-back wins. Rookie Rob Kurz ended with 20 points and seven boards in the lopsided setback.
"We had some guys that didn't perform up to what I expected," Warriors head coach Don Nelson said. "I thought we had a lot of guys out there that played hard and tried to do what we are trying to do. Robert Kurz had a super game."
Denver's 13-0 run to start the game set the tone. Another 10 straight points by the hosts, capped by Billups' three-pointer, made it a 28-16 game at the three-minute mark of the opening stanza.
The 14-point first quarter advantage was maintained at the break, and Billups nailed a triple, Martin threw down an alley-oop dunk and Nene chipped in a layup to open the third for a 72-51 lead.
Golden State connected on just two field goals in the final 5:45 of the frame and failed to cut into its 99-74 deficit going into the fourth quarter.
Denver has won 12 of its last 15 games...The Warriors posted a 111-101 victory over the Nuggets earlier this season...Golden State has lost nine of 10 at Denver...Denver hit 53.2 percent from the field, compared to Golden State's 41.2 percent shooting...The Warriors, who were outrebounded 54-40, played without forwards Corey Maggette (hamstring), Ronny Turiaf (flu) and Brandan Wright (flu).
