NBA Game Summary - Golden State at Cleveland

(Friday, November 28th)

Final Score: Cleveland 112, Golden State 97

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - LeBron James scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds and doled out eight assists to keep the Cavaliers unbeaten at home with a 112-97 victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas poured in 21 points for Cleveland, which has won four straight overall and improved to 13-3 on the season and 9-0 as the host. Mo Williams and Daniel Gibson scored 16 points apiece in the win.

Cleveland's 13-3 start is the best in franchise history and the 9-0 home mark matches the best start in Cleveland in franchise history, last accomplished during the 1991-1992 season.

C.J. Watson scored 17 points for the Warriors, who have lost five straight and fell to 0-4 on a five-game road trip. Jamal Crawford had 15 points and six assists, while Stephen Jackson and Corey Maggette dropped in 11 points apiece.

A late Crawford three-pointer gave the Warriors a 32-29 lead after the first quarter.

A James coast-to-coast steal and dunk highlighted a second stanza that saw Cleveland take a 58-52 lead into the break.

"We're playing great basketball right now," James said. "We're going out there and executing the game plan offensively and defensively."

Three points from Maggette brought Golden State within eight points, but Cleveland responded with seven straight points to open a 72-57 advantage.

Maggette interjected with a jumper, but the Cavs then rattled off six consecutive points for a 78-59 lead with 4:20 left in the third frame.

Moments later, Anderson Varejao's jumper gave the home team a 26-point lead, which was the differential heading into the fourth quarter, 94-68.

Cleveland took a 28-point lead following a J.J. Hickson tip-in early in the fourth and was never seriously threatened down the stretch.

"The one good thing that happened for us tonight is that we got to rest our guys (starters) in the fourth quarter," said Warriors head coach Don Nelson. "They just had their way with us in the second half. We competed in the first half and they just had their way with us after that."
