NBA Game Summary - Cleveland at Charlotte

(Saturday, December 6th)

Final Score: Cleveland 94, Charlotte 74

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - LeBron James scored 25 points and had four assists to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers in a 94-74 thrashing of the Charlotte Bobcats.

James also had a pair of steals to tie Mark Price for the all-time franchise lead for Cleveland, which has won eight games in a row -- all by at least 12 points. Daniel Gibson tallied 22 points and five helpers, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas had seven points and 11 boards, which puts him four shy of Brad Dougherty's franchise record.

D.J. Augustin had 17 points to pace the Bobcats, who have dropped two straight and matched their season-low in points. Raymond Felton added 15 points and five assists in defeat.

Delonte West's three-pointer capped a 14-2 run Cleveland used to start the game. That lead eventually transpired into a 30-14 advantage for the Cavs after the opening stanza.

Then the Cavs opened a 55-35 lead at the break.

Cleveland's lead hovered around 20 points, maxing out at 24, before Wally Szczerbiak nailed a three at the buzzer to make it 74-48 heading into the final stanza.

A Gibson jumper and Anderson Varejao layup gave the Cavs a 79-52 lead with 9:41 left in the contest.

"Cleveland is a good team, no question," said Felton. "At the same time, they shouldn't beat us like that."

The Bobcats failed to close within 17 points the rest of the way.

"We're not going out there trying to blow teams out," said James. "It just so happens we built big leads and kept those leads. You give a lot of credit to Mike Brown and the coaching staff."
