Final Score: Boston 93, Portland 78
Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Kevin Garnett scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Boston Celtics to their 11th straight win, with a 93-78 thrashing of the Portland Trail Blazers.
Ray Allen poured in 19 points for the Celtics, who swept a three-game homestand to move to 12-1 in Beantown this season. Rajon Rondo tallied 16 points, eight boards and seven assists in the win. Kendrick Perkins had 12 points to match his 12 boards.
"I think we're playing with a lot of energy," said Garnett. "Rondo's playing excellent. He's creating shots for everybody. He's on the board, he's active. It makes our jobs a little easier."
LaMarcus Aldridge and Travis Outlaw had 13 points apiece for the Blazers, who saw their six-game win streak come to an end. Brandon Roy tallied 12 points in defeat.
The Celtics jumped out to a 24-21 lead after the first quarter, and a 14-0 run to close out the second gave Boston a 49-36 lead at the intermission.

The Celtics' lead hovered around 20 points, topping out at 24, before the teams headed for the final stanza with Boston leading 74-51.
The Blazers went on an 18-4 run to get back into the game, 80-69, with about 5 1/2 minutes left in the tilt. Sergio Rodriguez's jumper sparked the run and Outlaw had eight of the points, including the jumper that closed the burst out.
But the Blazers were unable to get closer, as the Celtics pulled away late.
"They were better tonight," said Portland head coach Nate McMillan. "We weren't good tonight, they were better, and you put it behind you. It's frustrating to lose any game, but they were the better team. They are the World Champions and they played like it."
