(Friday, November 7th)
Final Score: Miami 99, San Antonio 83
San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade poured in a game-high 33 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out nine assists in Miami's 99-83 triumph over San Antonio.
Wade was 14-of-25 from the floor and logged three steals while rookie Michael Beasley continued to impress with 20 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for the Heat, who claimed victory in this series for the first time in 11 tries and only the second time in 22 all-time meetings in San Antonio.
Udonis Haslem and Chris Quinn had 15 points apiece, with Haslem also pulling down 10 boards in Miami's third win in its last four.
Tim Duncan notched a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs, who saw Tony Parker leave in the first quarter with a sprained left ankle that could shelve the guard for up to two weeks.
Parker drove to the hoop for a bucket and rolled his ankle upon landing with 2:06 left in the first. He immediately grabbed for the ankle and was off to the locker room, where x-rays were found to be negative.
Parker had a career night in leading the Spurs to their first win of the season on Wednesday in a thrilling 129-125 double-overtime victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The seventh-year pro dropped a career-high 55 points, including nine in the second overtime, on 22-of-36 shots from the floor and dished out 10 assists while bringing down seven rebounds.
San Antonio struggled to find its rhythm and shot a putrid 37.6 percent from the field, managing only 32 first-half points to Miami's 50.
It quickly became a 24-point game as the Spurs went nearly five minutes without a basket before Roger Mason and Ime Udoka hit back-to-back threes in the final three minutes of the third.
San Antonio trailed by 19 to open the final frame and Wade's 10 points in the quarter helped send the Spurs to their fourth loss.
