Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Andre Iguodala scored a career-best 32 points
and also had five rebounds, five assists and five steals to lead the
Philadelphia 76ers to a 98-95 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose
Andre Miller chipped in 25 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds while Kyle
Korver netted 19 off the bench for the 76ers, who snapped a two-game losing
skid. Samuel Dalembert finished with 10 points and nine boards in the win.
Brandon Roy poured in 15 points and five boards and Zach Randolph added 13
points and 12 rebounds for the Blazers, who have lost three of their last four
games. Ime Udoka donated 12 points and Juan Dixon and Jarrett Jack each
donated 11 points in the setback.
Trailing 51-47 at the break, Philadelphia opened up the third quarter with a
10-2 run, capped by Iguodala's reverse layup, for a 57-53 lead.
Randolph's turnaround jumper cut the deficit to 66-64, but the 76ers scored 12
of the final 19 points, including six points from Miller, extending the lead
to 78-71 heading into the final frame.
Miller's three-point play gave the 76ers a 90-79 lead with 5:45 to play, but
Portland reeled off an 18-6 rally, which began Roy's three-point play. Martell
Webster's driving layup with 36 seconds remaining cut the deficit to five,
95-90, and Roy's layup capped the spurt, narrowing the gap to 96-95 with 16.5
Kevin Ollie hit 1-of-2 at the line for a 97-95 lead. Roy then had a chance to
tie the score with a jumper from the elbow but there was no foul called as he
was hit by Miller and the shot didn't drop.
Each team shot 49 percent from the field...Portland shot 10-of-20 from long
distance...The Blazers led 30-20 after the opening 12 minutes...Webster
finished with 10 points, as did Jamaal Magloire.
