NBA Game Summary - Philadelphia at Toronto

(Wednesday, November 8th)

Final Score: Toronto 106, Philadelphia 104

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Chris Bosh's three-pointer with 6.1 seconds left lifted Toronto past Philadelphia, 106-l04, at the Air Canada Centre.

With the game tied, the Raptors went to the pick-and-roll with T.J. Ford and Bosh. Chris Webber poked the ball away from Bosh, who was forced to go near mid-court to retrieve it. As the shot clock was winding down, Bosh lifted a desperation three over Webber that found the bottom of the net.

"That's not what I had in mind," said Bosh. "It was an emergency. I didn't get much room and I had to let it go but I knew it was going to go in."

Instead of giving the Sixers a chance to tie, Toronto quickly fouled sharp- shooter Kyle Korver, who drained a pair from the line to make it a one- point game, 105-104, with 5.4 ticks left.

The Sixers then fouled Jose Calderon, who missed the back end of his two free throw attempts to put Toronto up 106-104 with 5.1 ticks remaining.

Andre Iguodala grabbed the rebound for the Sixers and raced upcourt because the team was without a time out. He got a great look on a three-pointer from the left wing but the shot was long and the Raptors managed to hang on .

Bosh scored a season-high 29 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for the Raptors, who evened their record at 2-2. Joey Graham added 16 points off the bench while Fred Jones had 13 and six assists.

Allen Iverson netted 35 and dished out 10 assists for the Sixers. The star guard moved past Hall of Famer Dolph Schayes to become the second leading scorer on the franchise's all-time list.

"We had our chances but I don't think we should have been in a bad position," said Iverson. "We used too much energy trying to come back."

Webber chipped in with 14 points and 13 boards but was just 7-of-19 from the floor and was tortured on the defensive end by Bosh.

Samuel Dalembert finished with 13 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks for the Philadelphia, which lost for the second straight time after winning their first three to open the season.

The Raptors raced out to a 28-21 lead after the first 12 minutes behind 13 points from Bosh.

Toronto continued to front run in the second quarter and took a 45-40 edge into the locker room.

The Sixers closed the gap to two, 71-69, entering the fourth quarter.
