Brooklyn, NY (Sports Network) - Zach Randolph recorded a double-double with 16
points and 14 rebounds to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 76-72 win over the
Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.
Marc Gasol had 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists and four blocks for the
Grizzlies, who are on a seven-game winning streak. Tony Allen and Tayshaun
Prince scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Mike Conley had 10 points,
seven assists and three steals.
"The key was our defense," said Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins. "I said to
people before the game. I said with the way they played and the way we played,
the score could be 76-70, and it was pretty close."
Deron Williams scored 24 points for the Nets, who lost their second straight
game. C.J. Watson scored 11 points and Andray Blatche registered 10 points and
seven rebounds off the bench.
"It was a tough loss, it was a tough night," said Nets forward Reggie Evans.
"We just got to be able to finish the game."
Down 72-67 with over 2 1/2 minutes to play, Prince made a 3-pointer to bring
the Grizzlies within two. Conley followed with a 19-foot jumper to tie the

After a Nets timeout, Williams attempted to pass the ball with 10.9 seconds
remaining, but Prince stole the ball off of him. Williams then fouled
Conley, who made a pair of free throws to put the game out of reach.
The Grizzlies started strong with a 14-4 run in the first five minutes of the
game. However, the Nets came back with a 15-2 run of their own, capped by a
layup from MarShon Brooks with 40.1 seconds remaining, to take a 19-16 lead
entering the second quarter.
Memphis would take a 25-23 lead with 8:28 left in the second, thanks to a 3-
pointer by Austin Daye. The two teams traded leads five times throughout the
period before a driving dunk by Gasol with 5:05 remaining gave the Grizzlies a

The third quarter was a low-scoring affair, with Brooklyn outscoring Memphis
by a 13-12 margin. The Nets got within one, 47-46, with 6:58 remaining, but
were only able to score five points through the rest of the frame.
Conley scored 10 points in the fourth quarter ... Brooklyn guard Joe Johnson
missed his second straight game due to a left heel injury.
