USA Basketball adds Davis and Harden to finalists roster

Colorado Springs, CO (Sports Network) - The United States men's basketball team added forward Anthony Davis and guard James Harden to the roster of finalists for the 2012 Olympic National team.

Davis was the college player of the year and is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft as he led Kentucky to the NCAA Championship in early April.

The 6-foot-10 freshman averaged 14.2 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per game as he led Kentucky to a mark of 38-2.

Harden is a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA and his team is currently in the playoffs. In the regular season, his third in the NBA, he averaged 16.8 points and 4.1 rebounds over 62 games.

For his career, the Arizona State alumni has averaged 12.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 220 games, all with the Thunder.

There are now 18 players in the pool as previous selections Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose were lost to injury. The 12-man roster will be announced later this year.
