Bulls send Sefolosha to Thunder for draft pick
Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Bulls sent guard Thabo Sefolosha to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 2009 first-round draft pick prior to the trade deadline on Thursday.
Sefolosha's days in a Chicago uniform appeared to be numbered after the Bulls acquired guard John Salmons from Sacramento in a six-player trade on Wednesday.
In that deal, Chicago also acquired center Brad Miller in exchange for forwards Andres Nocioni, Cedric Simmons and Michael Ruffin, and center Drew Gooden. Ruffin was then shipped off to Portland for Ike Diogu.
In his third season with Chicago, Sefolosha has played in 43 games and averaged 4.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
He was originally selected by Philadelphia with the 13th overall selection in the 2006 draft, but was sent to Chicago for the rights to Rodney Carney, who was the 16th overall pick, and cash considerations.
