Insight: Paxton had a horrible start in his last outing, giving up eight earned runs in less than three innings, so this was a big bounce-back game for him. He finishes the regular season 6-4 with a 3.04 ERA in 13 starts. Paxton missed most of the first four months with a strained lat.

Insight: So far, the September callup has done pretty well for himself. In two starts, opponents are only hitting .140 against him with eight strikeouts. Paxton's next start comes against the Tigers.
