Insight: It's a one-year deal worth $15 million. Rumors circulated last week that Kuroda would prefer to play in Southern California but apparently that wasn't the case. He should open the year as New York's No. 2 starter.

Insight: Los Angeles dealt Ervin Santana to the Royals earlier this offseason and the team isn't expected to re-sign Dan Haren, so obviously the rotation has a few holes that need to be filled. Kuroda is 1-1 with a 2.03 ERA in two career starts at Angel Stadium.
