Description: It took him 70 games but Indians infielder Brent Lillibridge finally has his first home run of the 2012 season. He hit it Saturday in a 5-2 win over Boston.
Insight: The home run was part of a rare three-hit performance for the 28-year-old. Despite the nice showing Saturday, Lillibridge (.202, 1 HR, 4 RBI) isn't useful in fantasy leagues.

Description: Infielder Brent Lillibridge and pitcher Zach Stewart have both been traded to the Boston Red Sox for third baseman Kevin Youkilis.
Insight: Lillibridge (.175, 0 HRs, 2 RBIs) has decent speed (7 SBs) but we don't expect him to see much playing time in Boston's crowded infield. He'll have no fantasy significance going forward.
7/5/2010 6:25:00 PM
Description: Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports, via Twitter, that White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said Lillibridge will remain at second base "as long as he hits."
Insight: Lillibridgs is 6-for-12 since being called up last month, but he is almost certain to fall quickly back toward his .199 career average. Gordon Beckham owners need not worry too much, unless Beckham never gets going this season. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Lillibridge has been optioned to Triple-A Charlotte by the White Sox.
Insight: Lillibridge hit just .243 this spring, but he may get called up at some point. (SportsBuff.com)
3/15/2010 9:54:00 AM
Description: The Chicago Sun Times reports Lillibridge is in a battle with Jayson Nix for the White Sox final infield spot.
Insight: No matter which guy wins the job, playing time will not be plentiful. Barring injuries, of course. (SportsBuff.com)
3/4/2010 11:03:00 AM
Description: Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports that Lillibridge worked on his swing mechanics with White Sox hitting coach Greg Walker during the offseason.
Insight: Lillibriged hit just .158 in 95 at-bats last season, but his new swing has drawn praise from manager Ozzie Guillen. But he may have a tough time making the 25-man roster with Omar Vizquel around. (SportsBuff.com)
