St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Yunel Escobar hit a solo home run and scored twice as the Toronto Blue Jays took a 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in the opener of a three-game set.
Colby Rasmus had two hits and scored twice for the Blue Jays, who have won five of six. Kyle Drabek (4-4) gave up two runs on three hits with six walks and three strikeouts over six innings for the win.
B.J. Upton had a solo home run and Sean Rodriguez drove in the other for the Rays, who have lost four of their last five. Jeremy Hellickson (4-1) gave up five runs -- two earned -- on eight hits with a walk and three strikeouts over 7 1/3 innings.
