Padres bring up Brach

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The San Diego Padres have selected the contract of pitcher Brad Brach from Triple-A Tucson and optioned outfielder Blake Tekotte to Double-A San Antonio.

In addition, the club has transferred pitcher Dustin Moseley from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list. Moseley underwent season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder on August 3.

The 25-year-old Brach went 3-5 with 34 saves and a 2.89 ERA in 67 relief appearances between San Antonio and Tucson this season. He was named the Padres' organizational Pitcher of the Year in 2010.

Tekotte was recalled on Tuesday from San Antonio. He has hit .176 with one double, one triple, one RBI, one run scored, two stolen bases and four walks in 19 games with San Diego this year.
