Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics have recalled right- handed pitcher Guillermo Moscoso from Triple-A Sacramento in order to start Tuesday's contest against the Detroit Tigers.

Moscoso has appeared in 10 games -- eight starts -- for Oakland this season and has a 3-4 record with a 2.16 ERA.

The A's designated pitcher Jerry Blevins for assignment to make room on the roster. Blevins is 0-0 with a 3.86 ERA in 16 relief appearances over three stints with Oakland this year.
