Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Seattle Mariners left fielder Endy Chavez injured his right knee in a collision with shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt during Friday's 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
The two fielders collided in the fifth inning going for a ball that Arizona's Felipe Lopez hit, and Chavez was turned head-over-heels before hitting the ground awkwardly. He immediately grabbed his knee in pain and had to be carted off the field.
Chavez was 1-for-2 with a stolen base before leaving. Betancourt made the catch and walked away unscathed.
