Dodgers P Lilly placed on DL
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Ted Lilly was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday with left shoulder inflammation.
After missing the team's first eight games due to a stint on the DL with a stiff neck, Lilly started 5-0 and was undefeated through his first seven games of the season. However, he was torched for eight runs on nine hits in just 3 1/3 innings in Arizona last Wednesday to suffer his first loss.
To take his spot on the roster, the team recalled pitcher Michael Antonini from Triple-A Albuquerque. It is his second stint with the team this season and he is still looking to make his first appearance in the majors.
Lilly was scheduled to start Tuesday's game against Milwaukee, but the team is expected to call up Nathan Eovaldi from Double-A Chattanooga to take the mound.
