CashCall Futurity has 11 set to run
Inglewood, CA (Sports Network) - A solid field of 11 2-year-olds will do battle Saturday in the $750,000 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park. The 1 1/16-mile stakes has become an early prep on the Triple Crown trail.
Breaking from the inside post will be He's Had Enough, second by a head to Shanghai Bobby in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile on Nov. 3. Owned by J. Paul Reddam, the colt is trained by Doug O'Neill and will be ridden by Mario Gutierrez. The three gentlemen combined to win this year's Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes with I'll Have Another.
Trainer Todd Pletcher ships in the unbeaten Violence from New York for the Futurity. The colt will be ridden by Javier Castellano from post six.
Owned by Black Rock Stable, Violence is coming off a dominating performance in winning the Nashua Stakes Nov. 4 at Aqueduct after being victorious first time out in August.
Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert has entered four in the Futurity, led by Carving who is owned by Jill Baffert and Bode Miller. Carving, winner of the Real Quiet Stakes, will start from post four with Martin Garcia in the saddle.
Also from Baffert's barn are Den's Legacy, winner of the Generous Stakes; Hollywood Prevue champ Really Mr Greely and Title Contender.
Baffert has won three of the last four Futurities with Pioneerofthe Nile (2008), Lookin at Lucky (2009) and last year with Liaison.

Post-time for the Futurity is set for 7:35 p.m. (ET).
