Man's body found at Churchill Downs
Louisville, KY (Sports Network) - The body of a man was found Sunday morning in a barn at Churchill Downs, one day after the running of the Kentucky Derby, and police said they were investigating a homicide.
Detectives suspect foul play but are waiting for the coroner to determine a cause of death, said Louisville police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley.
She said the man was Hispanic but had no further details. Police were still trying to identify him.
The body was found in a barn, but Smiley said there was no evidence that the death was associated with Churchill Downs or the Kentucky Derby. She said police had no suspects.
I'll Have Another, ridden by Mario Gutierrez, ran down Bodemeister on Saturday to capture the 138th Kentucky Derby.
