Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Lydia Ko and Jaye Marie Green won their semifinal matches on Saturday to move into the final of the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.

In a battle of the top-two ranked female amateurs in the world, Ko, 15, held off Ariya Jutanugarn, 3 & 1. Green bested Nicole Zhang, 2-up, in the other semifinal match.

Ko, the top-ranked women's amateur in the world, birdied the fourth to take a 1-up lead, one which she never gave up. Ko and Jutanugarn halved the next six holes at The Country Club.

At the par-3 11th, Ko converted a birdie effort to go 2-up. Jutanugarn, the second-ranked women's amateur in the world, answered with a birdie on the par-5 12th.

They halved the next three holes before Jutanugarn fell 2-down after making bogey on the par-5 16th. Jutanugarn, 16, also bogeyed 17 to give Ko the match.

The 18-year-old Green took the first hole with a par. Zhang, the only semifinalist not ranked in the top 10 in the world, birdied the third to square the match.

Green, who will go to LPGA Q School as a pro in the fall, regained the lead with a birdie on the fourth. The duo traded wins at six and seven. Green birdied the par-5 eighth to move 2-up.

She extended that to 3-up with a birdie at the 11th, but Zhang birdied the 12th to quickly get back within 2-down. Zhang, 20, birdied the 16th to cut her deficit to 1-down.

After the duo matched pars on 17, Green birdied the last to seal the match.
