NOTES:This tournament is one of the four original events on the Nationwide
Tour. The Wichita Open, Knoxville Open, Price Cutter Charity Championship and Boise Open have been on the schedule since the tour began in 1990. The top-six players on the money list are in the field - Mathew Goggin, Troy Kelly, Steve Wheatcroft, Ted Potter Jr., Daniel Chopra and Kyle Thompson. Goggin currently leads the money list by more than $43,000 over Kelly. Thompson won his third career Nationwide Tour title last week at The Rex Hospital Open.

Last year, Jhonattan Vegas fired a seven-under 64 in the final round to capture his first Nationwide Tour victory. Vegas finished four rounds on the Crestview course with a 20-under 264, beating 54-hole leader Roberto Castro by one shot. Vegas started the final round six shots behind Castro.

Vegas will not be on hand to defend his title, as he earned his PGA Tour card for 2011 by finishing seventh on the 2010 Nationwide Tour money list. Vegas won the Bob Hope Classic in January for his first PGA Tour title. He is currently 27th on the PGA Tour money list.

In 2008, Scott Piercy fired rounds of 64-62-65-71 to win by two shots over Hunter Haas, Spencer Levin and Daniel Summerhays. Piercy finished at 22-under- par 262, setting new 36-hole (126), 54-hole (191) and 72-hole records. Ben Crane previously held the tournament record of 263 set in 2000.

In 2007, Brad Elder fired a six-under 65 in the final round to win for the second time at this event. He also won it in 1999. Elder, who won for the third time on the Nationwide Tour, completed his four-stroke victory at 19- under-par 265. Elder's four-shot win over Fabian Gomez was the largest in event history. Elder became the seventh player in Nationwide Tour history to win the same event twice, joining Hunter Haas, Shane Bertsch, Peter O'Malley, Pat Bates, Ryan Howison and Chris Smith.

Current PGA Tour players David Duval, Tom Lehman, David Toms and Crane are just some of the past winners of this event. When Duval won, he became the youngest player to win on the Nationwide Tour at 21 years, nine months old. That record was broken in 2007 when 19-year-old Jason Day won the Legend Financial Group Classic. In the 19-year history of this event, Lehman and Eric Hoos are the only winners who have gone wire-to-wire to capture it. When Crane won the 2000 title, he became the 12th Monday qualifier to reach the winner's circle.

After four years at Willowbend Golf Club (1997-2000), the tournament moved across town to Crestview Country Club, the only 36-hole facility in Wichita. This is the 11th straight year in which Crestview is hosting. The first seven years of the tournament were held at Reflection Ridge Golf Club.

Five of the 21 Wichita Opens have been decided by a playoff. Eleven Wichita Opens have been decided by one shot, two by two shots, two years by a three-stroke margin and one by four shots.

The Nationwide Tour moves to Mexico next week for the Mexico Open, where Jamie Lovemark won the 2010 title.
